ex Honda - soon to be VW! - Newbbie hello
« on: 28 September 2011, 14:39 »
used to have a honda civic 2.2 icdti se 2006... sold it...(long story..lol)

viewing a 2003, 1.9 GT TDI 130bhp in mint condition on 89k on it!

used to have a MK1 Golf 1.3...but that died.. loved it,, especially that 2nd gear (I was young!!).

So for the 1.9, are there any specific things I should test when on the test drive this evening.. it's not a dealers, it's private, other than the usually FSH stamps, MOT, Tax, Tyres etc...  things I should Kick, poke at and look specifically at?

Cheers to all and hopefully am gonna be driving away happy!  (already priced up a re-mapp at Celtic Tunning..lol)

thanks,

Graeme

cheers all!

Viewed the car last night, brilliant condition for it's age, brand new MOT, service just done (inc timing belt).. had a new clutch at 50k, which the bloke hagled for with VW as that was a young age to change it!  proper VW FSH with the exception of last one, which was local garage but I know them so that's cool.

pick it up this evening, got the bloke down to £3200 for 89k miles!  engine so quiet, few minor salt deposits around the wheel nuts and the paint work is a little faded from black but nothing good old meguires wont handle :)

now to tinker, re-mapp..joking.
