I have read alot of reviews myself as well as speaking with tyre so called specialists.  The reviews recommend the premium tyres and the dealers say the cheaper opyions are as good.

I, like yourself do think you get what you pay for, well I think so.  It would just be nice to get an independent view.  Can't get contis as I have been quoted £180 plus and I think that is over the top.

At time of writing they have 3 out of 6 sets left.

I ordered these on Friday and they arrived today, great service.  They look better in real life, really nice looking rim which I'm really pleased with.

I am considering 3 tyre types for the rims that are currently available to me locally.  Either the  WintersportDunlop 3D at £630 (Kwik fit) or Hankook Icebear W300 (£400) or Lassa Snowways by Bridgestone (£400).

Im thinking of going with the Dunlops as the reviews seem better.

Can anyone offer advice. ie do you get what you pay for or should I go for a cheaper option?

Hello, ive also been thinking of buying a set of these for my mk6, could you possible upload a few photos of them fitted?

Cheers :)

Well with one set remaining, you'd best decide fast....

Apologies for the photo's the camera is making the blue look lighter than it atually is, but still, welcome to a very ordinary looking Golf...looks like a GT....

Good looking job Mr F however I am sure like me you prefer the look and style of the Charlestons but hey needs must to protect them.  I have now sourced Winter Sport 4Ds at for my wheels at £600 fitted.  Hopefully will be in stock for me tomorrow.

Thanks Noel,

I've just realised I have V rated tyres, now I'd best set the Winter Tyres setting in the MFD to 140mph to get the warning beep, make sure I don't exceed this rating!!!!!

Out of interest do you think 94V XL rated is necessary as I am going for the 91H rating?
