That's a shame Rob, you were very helpful in getting me a rad fan for my first MK2 at a good price. Good luck with what ever you decide to do next :afro:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

That all seems like large scale stuff though, people with sites and no permits.....

This - people who've made a career out of it, rather than scum who are busily supplementing their benefits with it.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

What I was trying to get at is this... I always fancied breaking the odd car, some spares for mine, sell the rest and weigh in the shell.  Is that a problem?

Depends on your neighbours think, just one car would not hurt tbh.

Well i'm more concerned about trouble with the law as my neighbours are spot on and know I'm tidy.

I cannot see one car making much difference / causing a problem.

thanks for the kind words I am touched, we stopped breaking golfs main stream about 4 years ag. Yes we were caught! although didnt know we were breaking the law at the time as all the shells were disposed of correctly through a local scrap yard had had destruction certificates for every one of them. We then started on second hand cars but still had stupid amounts of parts left and through people on here, two Gti International shows and local vags fans been dwindling away.
So made the choice to sell it all as a job lot
When we did break em most of what was broken was either police recovery ie not allowed back on the road cat C or Cat D and lets be honest no true fan would want one of these or major rot boxes. Recall one Corrado actually had papermache in the sills.

Regards to breaking the "odd one" it is still against the law only car you can legally break is your own ie its failed an mot and you are trying to recoup some money from it. However what you do is down to you

Thanks for al the kind words. I am still a member on this forum and have been since before the business started. As long as I own a golf (no plans for an audi just yet)  I will still add my support have a laugh at the joke page and offer advice where I can.

DH: I wonder who on earth your on about  also broke more MK3 Golfs than anything else you will be pleased to hear
