R32 steering wheel

does anyone know if u can convert an R32 steering wheel to replace a 4 spoke steering wheel, they told me i need a 3 star airbag for this, but do i really need to fit an airbag for legal reasons? or just by choice? i need to know before i order the R32 steering wheel please help, thanks :smiley:

i assume your thinking of bunging a r32 wheel on a mk4 golf??, yeah i think the airbag sizes are different, not sure on legal require ments though, air bags dont really bother me wether there there or not........ if you crash you crash and thats that!! lol.....

id ask in mk4 section see if any buffs in there know????

there's no legal requirement on airbags. good job else all us mk1/2/beetle drivers would be done for!

thanks ppl :wink: yea i was making sure lol, they were like  "u have to have the 3 spoke airbag" !!! and dubfather... i tried the mk4 section and none of them replied... lol so i tried my luck on here :tongue:

im sure you dont need an airbag by law, but never be too certain, if any one on here dosnt know try ukmk4s (not sure on link, do a search on google) they know there stuff and half the mk4 info comes from there!!
