Have been offered a brand new white 5 dr, DSG, with cloth, 18" monzas, luxury pack, winter pack, parking sensors, cruise and DAB for £24k. In the showroom and ready to go.
Take it if it also has ACC.
The white will grow on you.
At that price if it has ACC as well it must be joke......
Jim

GTI prices are tumbling due to the advent of the Ed35.
And if it has ACC the joke will be on YOU!

I'm really falling out with VW, bringing the ED35 has screwed me over when it comes to trade-in.  Should have got an Audi S4 like I'd originally planned

I will certainly look at it. Hopefully they can sort out the PX value.

Not exactly holding out, as when I turned up at 3.45 Saturday afternoon, I saw the manager and he did't seem bothered whether he served me or not. Frustrating as had called him to say I was coming.

He did say what do you want me to do with yours !!

Have also seen a 60 plate steel grey manual with leather, but 17s for £21k at VW Huddersfield. Very tempted to go after it, but having leaving a deposit on a mint MK5 a 4 years ago, I spent two hours getting up there to find it was a right dog !

At that price, I could add a set of 18s and would certainly help the loss suffered with Kuga

No ACC .

Its DSG
Winter Pack
Lux Pack
Cruise
DAB
Parking Sensors
18" Monzas

...RRP £29,150.

Probably get offered £17k for mine. Could do with a dusting of snow to help the 4 x 4 demand and prices !

VW staff are beyond belief, you would think as times are supposedly hard for car dealers they would just about bite your hand off; but not a bit of it as they are as rude and ignorant as they ever were.

I would not rule a car out for not having ACC I believe it is an advantage to have it but not a necessity as the ride is pretty good without, it's just that bit better with.

I would try and buy a car with xenons as they are almost impossible to retrofit and most people on here without them seemingly wish they had gone that little bit further and specced them, if you do a lot of night driving they are an absolute godsend.

I really cherish my little reversing camera and wish I had specced it from the factory as it was not a cheap retrofit, so for £150 ish I would recommend this device.

All the best with your search, have you looked on Autotrader? there are 42 or so on there.

After much excitement at locating the white GTI, it doesn't look like it will happen.

The PX value they offered this evening was actually bottom book....not bad considering its 5 months old and unmarked ! Since found out after I went into my local Ford Dealership, that they bid more money on it than VW offered me to do the deal.

So it appears that they are trying to make a big chunk off what they are discounting. When I said their offer was a joke, some £2k off my other PX valuation, he said have you seen Motorpoints prices. I replied yes, their cars are the base model vehicle and  in this instant do not have the full manufacturers warranty, to which he replied people don't care.

Funny that, as when I returned from Cyprus and bought my GTI back to me, you certainly seemed to care that it hadn't got the full warranty even though it was full UK Spec.

So I will move on......there are a few about in the system and hopefully not all dealers will be so arrogant to appreciate, that there appears to be a flood of people prepared to kick £25k into a new car at this point.

I will get the private plate off this month and look at a private ad. Hopefully that may help offset the shocking loss. I cant believe that PX values have ranged between £18k and £20.7k ...for a 6 month old car that listed at £28k ! Hoping for a dusting of freak snow to push the demand for 4 x 4s up !

Darren,
Why don't you like the Kuga? It's supposed to be the best of the breed according to most car magazines. Most people I know who own one, simply love it.
If I were you, I'd hang on to it as the financial loss is so crippling.
I really feel for you and fully appreciate your predicament.

Pretty simple equation just sell the kugar back to the dealer that actually bid more than you were actually offered then go and buy the gti.

Basically the cars been a dog since it was 3 weeks old ....developed gearbox noise at 500 miles. Its since been in the garage for 25 days on and off, having had a new transfer box, rear diff, gearbox in and out twice, new CAT, totalling over £5k at warranty rates. Its still ongoing and the Ford Dealer and Ford UK will not accept my rejection.

So essentially I was going to PX it, once it has new oil seals this week, as a big legal case is looming that could easily dwarf the depreciation on the car if I lost the case. On the face of it, the car is unmarked and looks stunning, but for me the reliability is compromised and not prepared to keep it in the longer term.

Now considering the Steel Grey motor up at VW Huddersfield, as at £20k for a 60 plate with leather would really help my loss on the Kuga.

All I can say ....shocking service from Ford !

I would, but they sold their car yesterday afternoon and obviously being a VW dealership dont just want to take my car. They also won't let me know who wanted to take it in, as they know very well I will buy one elsewhere.

Bit of a mare really !
