Wow! That's some road trip!

1500 miles return trip.

No roof box this time.

145mph was the max due to traffic.

The GTI is not very common in Germany although much loved, same as here.
Loads of GTDs though

Probably due to the fact that disiesal is cheaper than petrol over there.

Though I am too embarrassed to give you my results, I will bite this bullet. 22 miles each way, 44 miles round trip, from Kings X to Heathrow.

Today, I hit 5000 miles only after 1 year and 6 months of ownership. For 3.5 of those months I have not driven the car. Never done such a low mileage on any of my cars but I have a very valid excuse. I have a faulty left shoulder which will be fixed on the 25th October. Again the car will not be driven for 2 months, post operation.

Lucky person who buys my car in 2013 as things stand.

Next year, hopefully, I will take a long European trip. London to Rome through France and return through Switzerland and Germany. This should make up for the present lack of mileage.

I have taken mine to Helsinge (Denmark) twice.

I did cheat though and took the ferry from Harwich to Esbjerg, still a 200 mile drive across Denmark and an absolutely massive bridge.

Bonnie has been to Devon a couple of times but she was a bad girl and managed to get her owner done for speeding  So don't reckon she will be going away for her holidays again for a while unless she promises to behave.
