NOT glandular fever - update

Thanks mate, I ticked quite a few boxes on that so I'll get myself to my docs ASAP.

To be fair to her she didn't get much sleep last night with a combination of me hallucinating and our youngest having a moment at 3.30am. She seems ok now lol

i had it when i was about 18 - 19 it knocked the sh!t out of me was at work during the day thought to myself i got a bit of a sore throat by the time i had got home (about 5hrs later) i could hardly move neck all swallon up really sore throat and felt like some was stamping all over my shoulders and back

this happened on monday went to docs the day after (tues) they gave me pills ect went back to docs on friday morning gave some more pills by friday afternoon i was getting rushed into hospital could hardly breathe 

any way after countless drips,pills,spliffs and icecream a week later i came out still felt like sh!t for a good few months i lost nearly 3 stone in roughly 3 weeks im a big lad so didnt matter to much

make sure u get it sorted fella and hope its all ok

Had it when i was 15 apparently there is 4 stages http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infectious_mononucleosis  i had stage 3 i was in bed for 6 mths and could barely walk half of this time as in hospital...... it can be very serious if left and sucks ass bigtime my exams were in 9 mths when i was diagnosed!! not cool Jonothans post sums it up but get checked out bud hope its not that....

I think I may have found my problem...

Just taken the dressing off my arm that I had surgery on and around the wound it is red hot 

So I'll be going up the hospital later to get the stitches taken out and get some antibiotics

Glad it's not Glandular fever, that sh!ts bad my cousin couldn't have kids for years and the doctors attributed it down to her having had GV in her early 20's.

The doctors have put my ME down to having glandular fever an it just never left my system!

Its proper sh!t, been a walking zombie for 6 months now 

I can do maybe 2 days work... then i need 3 to recover!

Glandular Fever is bloody awful. Had it when I was 15 and got it 2 months before my GCSE exams. Missed all of the studying sessions, everything. Had to drag myself in to school to sit the exams, most of which I could barely stay awake for, a couple I ended up leaving early.

Shame no one informed me I could have had this taken into consideration on my grades! It's a really horrible thing to have, that sticks with you for a long time after you're well enough to return to society!

Like many have mentioned in similar ways, I also had a severe bout of it about 15 years ago which last approximately 7 weeks, 4 of which I spent most of in and out of hospital due to some subsidiary mouth an throat infection which meant I was constantly spitting out pus and blood.
I barely ate throughout its entirety and lost over 3 stone simply down to my only food intake been ambrosia Devon custard. To say it knocked the sh!t out of me is an understatement!

I remember at volksfest, you looked as if you had the worse hangover out of all of us, and you didn't drink.

Think that was just spending most of the day with you!!
