bit of a random request

anyone on here got a mk2 golf with a mk4 1.8t engine in? or something simelar?

im sure theres someone with a mk3 golf with a 1.8t engine in ?

if so....  could i borrow your reg? just wondering what insurance is like on one?

if your ok with me using it to get a quote and dont want to post it all over the internet pm me. cheers

doubtful you'll get a quote online even with the reg. Most online systems will probably refer you to the call centre instead :afro:


I don't think a semi will give the same results

well il start off online as its easier but if i have to ring up i will. just want a rough guess at how much iit would be. as if its cheep then ill sell the curent car and try buy one, if not then ill buy a mk2 or something simelar with a knakerd engine strip that out then get a mk4 engine and install that and build it up over the next year or two untill i could afford to insure it.

A reg number isn't going to provide details of the engine swap though.

It will if the owner has told the DVLA what engine it now has in it, as you should do when you change anything about the car including engine and paint colour.
