2000 mk4 gti t remap advice - AGU
« on: 22 September 2011, 20:05 »
Hi

Over the last few weeks I have fully serviced my car all gen parts, new MOT etc and had the codes read on vagcom no major faults found just Air Flow flap positioning motor.

I have owned the car a couple of weeks and thought it would be quicker ! im looking at a remap but as im in Bournemouth on the South Coast is a long drive to R-Tech, im considering a Revo map from a local Revo dealer, just missed out on the offer they have recently had !

Car is standard apart from the Forge DV

Do I go Revo as close by, will I be happy ? or travel and/or have a mobile remap from R-Tech ?

Cheers

Al

Have a word with R-Tech, they may be able to do a mobile map, if not then it is worth the journey and you will learn more from speaking with Nick than what you would other tuners. he will advise if its in good health, any weak spots etc etc. other companies will just slap a map on that is generic or just slap something on that they dont have a clue about.

I was told to avoid revo, so maybe better to see what else is available.

Whoever you give it to, just engage with them properly and if you feel comfortable with what is being offered and you've shopped around for both price and product.. then give them a whirl.
