Injuries sustained while working on cars?
« on: 21 September 2011, 19:42 »
Just came in from angle grinding my wrist. Lovely flesh ripped through and some big blood pool. I hate all that crap so thought wrap it in masking tape but when the blood started pooring it was a bit much.

Now my whole arm is burning, manned up and wiped it with antiseptic wipes but now whimpering like a little girl after getting mummy to tend to it.

What you lot done in the past?

Where all my moneys went.

The only way you can angle grind your wrist it through improper use so its your own fault.
Hope you had the correct P.P.E on   :lipsrsealed:
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Completely and utterly my fault. Didn't want to turn this into a slating contest so won't mention why it happened.

Haha Bellend - man up you girl!

Mostly just skinned knuckles and small chunk taken out of fingers etc although I did once suffer regularly from Mini bonnet catch rash, which is you hit your head/neck against a Classic Mini's bonnet catch whilst working under the small confines of its bonnet.

Was looking at a Mini to buy years ago and a very short girl owned it. I pulled the lever to move the seat back and promptly squashed my finger under the seat as her boyfriend had mounted an amp on the crossmember. Worst bit was I couldn't actually pull it out - the gap was only about 2 mm! Eventually half standing up (in a Mini with your finger stuck under the seat is not easy!!) meant that the seat could be moved forward again. Split my nail and blood everywhere. They felt so sorry for me and I didn't get the feeling back in my finger for 2 days! I still bought the car but they knocked more money off as a result!!

Keeping schtum. Mostly.

Will get a pic when I dare take the wrapping off.

Mini sounds nasty Mr Bounce, hate trapping fingers or smashing them with hammers etc.

Haha Screech, high 5.

@Chuff, in other words sit back and get someone else to do it.....
