cheap vw performance parts

hi just having a look on this sight and they look quite good and cheap,has anybody used them as they are 2 mile away from my house so will be going to price some stuff,there is some coilovers made buy jom for under 200 quid for my vr6 would these be recommended,the link for them

Good bunch of people and been around for ages. No idea what the joms are like but a friend bought some fk AK cookies for his passat that were surprisingly good.

Do a search on here for JOM coilovers has been covered loads of times before. Have got mixed reviews.

I had a set of JOMs and they were boucy as heck! I would highly recomend the FK AK's any day - a better ride and feels much better in the corners

Got FK 'ak' street coilovers and they are fine for my daily without being too uncomfortable, and they dont feel bouncy.

but whatever coilovers you buy, just make sure you protect them from rusting with a solvent of some sort, I used spray from FK and it seems to do the trick

Paying £200 for coilovers is much like paying a prostitute £200 - you'll get a bouncy ride.

The difference is that you'll get annoyed by the ride the coilovers provide.

Exactly what I said. Beleive it or not though, the AK's are surprisingly well balanced in terms of ride comfort and damping. They are supplied with progressive rate springs rather than the normal fixed rate items most coilovers come with which is probably the secret. I was amazed how good they were on my friends Passat (admittedly a lot of rubber in there to isolate the bang and crash but I cant fault the ride and theres no bounce or nodding dog syndrome). How long they last, well, thats probably the downside but the ones I have seen in action are definately worth the money for those who like to go so low they cant use their cars properly.
