They are, they are just covers on top off the shocks, they pop off easy enough if you want to work on shocks etc...  :grin: :grin: :grin:

They look fine, if there's no problems with them I wouldn't worry

Mine are slightly raised and have been since I've owned the car and I've not had any problems. So I wouldn't worry.

Yep.  Its the condition of top mount rubber that determines how much the strut sticks out.  I had ours replaced this year and they were flush when new, now they've settled down they sit about 5mm above the turret.
