Hey VW owners, I have just recently purchased a Mk5 Golf GTI. Having considered my options I have decided to go for a Performance filter the link to the filter can be seen below this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARBONSPEED-Induction-Kit-VW-Golf-Mk5-GTI-Audi-S3-Seat-/170679277288?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27bd4716e8#ht_2223wt_1061
Can anyone suggest a alternative?
, is their is anything better out there? Would appreciate your help thanks
Amir.

I fitted one to my ed 30 and it ran worse than std!
This was confirmed with VCDS - it showed lower MAF g/s readings.
Ended up with just a K&N panel filter.

Same here, not had any problems with mine and its been fitted for over 2 years now. It is however, not the best induction kit. Youll struggle to make any proper gains but it sounds and looks nice. It is quiet a bit cheaper though and doesn't require any modifications to your engine cover.
The best induction kit (in my book) is the Forge Twin-Take system -
