what to clean alloys with

my alloy wheels have been a bit neglected and are full of brake dust, which is stuck on well, normal wheel cleaner doesnt get it all off
is there anythin else to use? maybe disc brake cleaner? or bug and tar remover?
any suggestions, cheers

i use that but the brush you get with it is cack..best off usin a toothbrush

think u can get it from most bodyyshop wholesalers but dunno how easy yhey are to find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
usinf G6 at the mo, just different abrasiveness mate!!
definitely the pro's choice, look for the brand!! its worth it

has anybody tried brick acid. same weak sulphuric acid as most wheel cleaners at about 0.1 off price 'avialable at most good builders yards'

You can get wonder wheels from halfords for about £8 a bottle but if you've got a makro near you they do two bottles for £8

have heard that "cillit bang" is good and as i have a set of f*rd alloys i'm gonna sell i'll try a bit and let you know,but if you beat me to it then try on a small bit you can see as i think it's quite aggressive. yes to the feraclea as if you have solid paint that's dead use the G4 as it's not got amonia in it.............post a picci of your clean wheels as an example to us all!!
