Never used the HTC so can't comment but I've got a SGS2 and it's seriously good on all levels. The screen is awesome. It's proper f*cking tough too... Dropped it from about 8ft on to a hard floor last weekend, it bounced up about 2ft and there's literally not a mark on it (and it still works, obviously!).
