Haha was waiting for you to pop up!

So you reckon the sensation XE over the S2?

As long as it has android then i am happy!!

I'm biased towards HTC, samsungs roms are boring (the ones I've tried in the past), HTC do cool things with Android!

I have the S2 and the wife HAD the HTC and sold it promptly as it was dire. The S2 is brilliant, I do have to charge it every night but its simple to use and is very fast and the torque app is fantastic on it.

S2 1
HTC 0

Likewise, HTC's are also better built. The Samsung feels like a kids toy in comparison. That said I'm hating the latest OTA Android update and its spazzed it up a bit but I'm just gonna flash it back when I get the chance.

Whats the low down on the XE then, Jay?

Just had a play on both in the phone shop. Much prefer the way the HTC works, but prefer the way the S2 handles if that makes sense?

Hmmm...

Nokia 3310 it is!

Not a lot, but enough to choose it over the 'old' Sensation.

1.5ghz Dual core instead of the 1.2Ghz Dual core in the 'old' sensation, so a bit quicker.
Nice 'Beats' Red highlights that look good on it.
and ofc the Beats sound system that HTC bought to put in their phones, no other OEM will be able to have it either because HTC now own it.

oh and a different ROM specific to this model (unless you root and install this ROM)

EDIT: also got a slightly bigger capacity battery than the 'old' sensation.

Yeah noticed the battery capacity, 1720mAh instead of current puny 1520mAh. Still not enough but its an improvement.

I'm currently using an Anker 1900mAh battery which is loads better, but boy are these phones juicy.

Seeing as the XE is focused on audio then I wonder if they've improved the built in loudspeaker or the software regarding volume?

SGS2 is a great phone. If you root it and flash it with the proper stuff your batter could last 3 days. You don't need 1.5Ghz phone the Samsung Galaxy eats up everything you throw at it, imagaine how that 1.5Ghz processor is going to kill that HTC.

Samsung is lighter, thinner and has the best screen I've seen on a phone. Also the camera is insane compared to a HTC, HTC camera has over saturation issues. I had an HTC played with it and couldn't wait to give it back.

I'm getting a Galaxy on Wednesday, can't wait.

Galaxy S2, I have the galaxy and am considering trading in and paying an extra £200 for the S2. Great phone, real slim, quite large but all phones are massive these days. There are some real good cases out there for the S2 as well, proper easily used with the cover on!
