Simply does not have the same ring as:
Shadow Blue = Class
Rising blue = Crass
Without ACC = Crap

Try harder or get ACC or better still ACC + Shadow Blue.

Shadow blue for the more understated / classless appeal! If you notice a lot of the Golf adverts have shadow blue on.  Also its the non-descript colour they choose for when their prototypes go out for roadtrips.

I agree with the ACC, why by sports then buy a cushion.

"I'd like a really nice road bike (pedal) with a big squishy saddle and chunky tyres please!"  Although I love the technology used on the Audi's with the magnets and the fillings, is it the same on the golf's?

I completely disagree with the dislike of ACC. It's a very good tech (I had it on the GTI) and if you can afford it buy it. If you can't, don't, but don't make a philosophy out of it.

If I only had a penny every time I hear this: sports car = harsh ride. And only manual! Cruise control on a sports car?? Never! How about synchro mesh? Isn’t that a little bit too soft for sports car?

I had a chance to drive a new BMW 640i SE and the amount of toys and gadgets (“options”) is staggering. The test car had £14000 worth of that and some of them are really nice like head up display or night vision. You get a 60 page book from Porsche with options for any model – including hardcore models like RS.

Rant end :lipsrsealed:
Golf GTI VI DSG - died on the road, resurrected, came back as zombi, sold
R - rising blue, 5-door, DSG, ACC, something something...

I just let them get on with it. I look on and think their sheep and follow the flock. Then find it funny how the 'in' colours at the time never become the ones enthusiast collectors want in the future.  :lipsrsealed:
