Personally, I wouldn't touch those things with a barge pole :undecided:

Right....after a lot of phone calls I might be able to get my money back plus the money I spent on getting these fitted.....to do that I need to prove that my car is not 100 mm lower than a stock mk3 golf on 14" steel rims. Does any one out there have such a car they could maybe measure and send me a picture .....if no pics just the measurement is fine.

Thanks in advance!

I think you'll have trouble doing that, but the best of luck in getting it sorted :afro:

A phrase worth remembering is 'do it once, do it right'. I'm not sorting the suspension on my Mk4 until I can afford a decent set up, I know if I go down the cheap route again I'll regret it & end up swapping it for a better set up further down the line anyway

It's not so much a pic of the car, I could do with a pic of a tape measure against the arch showing the ride height. I have spoke to trading standards ant they're pretty confident I've been missold the springs. Basically unless I fit lower shocks it will never get lower.....this was never mentioned when I brought the springs, just "fit these and it'll lower your car 100mm"! .....yeah right!

I can't see that these are going to be sitting higher than a bog standard mk3 on balloon tyres. Those things have their own micro climate within their arch gaps.

Did you buy them off Ebay ?.If so you could start a not as described case and send them back but you would have to send them back by trackable means and you would only get your original purchase price back plus any original postage cost, not the return cost.

Has the seller said they would refund all your costs,if not,who did ?.

If it was an Ebay purchase i would be very surprised to hear that you get more than your original outlay.Even if you take someone to small claims and win it still does'nt mean you will get anything back.
