there is a free option called Virtual Box.

http://www.virtualbox.org/

It is quite technical and quite tricky to setup.

Change the software you use , pointless setting up windows on a mac unless you have to.

Surely their are better programs for the mac? seeing as alot of music people i know, use macs for their music editing and stuff

I use various programs but mainly Logic 9 does everything i need it to

yep hear you

but nothing out their like ACID

we have Ableton but im not a fan

i also use Cubase but thatas fine on the mac. i will only use Acid pro very ocasionally hence why having it on the bootcamp side is cool

Audacity does what Soundforge does so thats covered so it really is just Acid Pro thats the issue. iv used it for over 10 years so its like a drug and i need to bring myself off it slowly while i get used to a replacement program

If you just bought a brand new MacBook Pro, then you'll have Lion installed on it. If this is the case, there is a new version of Boot Camp coming soon which will allow you to run Windows and Mac OS X together at the same time (wheras previously you had to run one or the other).

Virtual Box is Good, I use it all the time (and even run OS X on my Windows 7 PC for sh!ts and giggles  )
depends if you mind booting into Windows when you need too, then OS X when you need too do something OS X'y.
