Pressure washer fault question
« on: 10 September 2011, 21:32 »
I've got the below pressure washer which I got from ebuyer.com about 3 years ago.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Selwyn-KingWash-Pressure-Washer-Wheels/dp/B001H7WCRO

It has a metal pump and motor and has auto on and off as you press the trigger and has been very reliable. However last week while cleaning the car the lance lost pressure and water started leaking out of the unit. Its out of warranty so decided to open it up to see what was leaking. Looks like where to motor meets the pump its leaking out. Question is are they servicable or am I better off just getting a new one ?

If you can get the bit's they are servicable.

Ours started leaking and pulsating and my dad repaired it. :)

Where all my moneys went.

things typically break just after warranties run out, manufacturers delibrately make things to only last so long, lol, although i guess they arent going to know how many times a week that youre going to use it...

if the parts are cheaper than buying a new one, go for it
