wheel size mpg
« on: 06 September 2011, 19:15 »
just a quick question which im sure has been asked before but couldnt find much on the search

is there much change in mpg when you have bigger wheels fitted (18s) im currently running 4motion 16s with michelin tyres and get about 48mpg around town and anywer up to 60 on motorways

but ive been offerd a set of 18" oem rs4 alloys and just wanted to see what the differance is having bigger wheels

thanks in advance

Those alloys will be reps so will be heavier than the ones you're replacing.  I'd expect it to knock a couple of MPG from your average

I went from 16's to the BBS RC 18's from the Anniversary and didn't really see any noticeable difference in MPG

Genuine RS4 wheels only came in 5 x 112 fitment  :undecided:  RS4 'style' wheels were reps
