mk4 rear caliper carriers

So finally one of my rear calipers is sticking on the valver so am going to bite the bullet and put mk4 calipers on,my question is,i have found a set of mk4 calipers with carriers,are the mk4 carriers the same as the mk2 ones? as im wanting to get the lot powder coated before fitting and not sure if ill need to use my mk2 carriers or if these mk4 ones that come with the calipers will fit.

I just used the mk2 ones. offer them up. simples!

1. G4 calipers are alloy so probably best not powdercoat 'em
2. They have an internal handbrake mech, thus they don't seize - better than G2 calipers
3. They are alloy, so lighter unsprung mass - good
4. You will need a set of 'conversion hoses' with banjos on them as the fittings are different.
5. It's late and I've realised I've not really answered your question as it's about the carriers. 
6. Use the Golf2 ones - they fit - it's the calipers you need in this situation.

pm ebay there is a seller that does good condition mk4 calipers and braided hoses for mk2 to mk4 for £99 is that good ?

mk4 rear carriers do not fit a mk2.

No.  The calipers and hoses can be had for £50 if you shop around.
