Love to know how many maniacs populate this forum.

As is obvious, it's twice the national speed limit.  :grin:

On a German autobahn on route to the Ring my old Stage 2 Mk6 easily reached 154mph on the GPS and was showing nearly 170mph on the speedo   :evil:

Was surprisingly stable  :smiley:

Had this but didn't look at the Sat Nav to check the speed. Was a bit preoccupied.  :grin:

I'm a big girl and don't have access to any private roads, thus I have never done more than 70mph anywhere. So I am going to buy a Diesel next time as I won't miss the 8mph difference.  :laugh:


It's funny you know but I've just realised, thanks to this thread, that whenever I'm driving a Diesel (some days at work) I drive it quite quickly but when I'm driving my Golf I try and coax mpg out of it rather than speed. I think my wires are messed up but at least I'm not paying for the Diesel.

It's a 140 TDI for me next I reckon.  :tongue:
