Cornering Fogs
« on: 05 September 2011, 17:57 »
Went to my VW Service Dept today to get these activated.
It seems that for my car, BW8 2010, this is not possible.
Can this be correct?

I know it allowed me to change it on mine via VCDS. Mind i never checked it worked  But it never caused a fault code when turned on.
I later turned it off as SEAT Ibizas were annoying me with it on, I kept thinking oh look he has fogs on and one does not work
I do have my fogs set as the coming/leaving home lights though.

Thanks Snoops. I think I should get VCDS myself.
I wonder whether Mr.P is watching and can help me out?

I have a 2009 model(not sure on the BW) and have activated them with VCDS.

Definitely one to do IMO.

I think using a PC is beyond my VW Service Dept.
I'll have to PM Mr.P and beg for his help.

Asker, I can check if it will work next week (Mines suppose to be a BW6 but maybe a BW7 as it left with all the BW7 cars) but my notebook is at work and im off for a week so don't have access to a mobile computer to set it up with.  :embarassed:

Looks rubbish IMO and makes the car look as if its broken but being a modern VW that seems to be a given  :lipsrsealed:

If you were close by, I'd b!tch slap you with my right hand and as you are a mod, I'd make it as hard as possible to draw blood.

I dont think it's supposed to look pretty, more to do with the benefits of illuminating the road more as you corner.
