Average MPG
« on: 04 September 2011, 22:27 »
What are every bodies average MPG for there respective diesels, would like to compare to see if I have MPG paranoia or am keeping up with some of you lot!

I have a 150pd '02 plate with 110k on the clock and today on a 170mile trip 90% on motorways doing no more than 80mph and driving sensibly I averaged 52mpg...should I be upset with that?

No, slow down to 60-65 and you'll see 60++
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Remapped 130pd (asz engine) seeing about 55mpg on an average 30 mile trip but get it in the 60's on motorways for a lot of the journey.
Sixth gear at about 75ish mph I find most economical.

i average 47mpg but almost all my milage is in the town as my daily commute is 10miles and i reckon 8 of that it is in traffic! noticed recently my mpg is dropping and im struggling to get over 40mpg in town and only 45mpg at 60mph which leads to me to think that something is up!

Non PD 110 ASV code is averaging 45 on a 20 mile trip mix of fast a roads and dualies. Did move to 52 when I hit work though. Kept going up on the drive.
