Hi,
I've just bought myself a "little runaround" Mk3 Golf GTI 8v cracking little N reg number with 120k on the clock, shes due for a new engine mount, a couple of breather pipes, and a right good dose of looking at (in the form of major service).
A couple of the trims are hanging a bit loose, but im mega impressed with how solid she is - one little rust patch on the boot lid - brilliant. I shall be carrying out all the work myself and learning along the way - so expect questions and mistakes!!
I've had a couple of similar cars in the past - Mk5 GT TDI 4motion and still got a Audi A3 2.0TFSI Quattro, but they just dont match the character!!!
I shall be (hopefully) using the forum as more of a regular from now on - having spent a little while viewing all the VW forums and wondering when to take the plunge!!
If anyone could give me a couple of pointers to decent spares suppliers then that would be lovely!!
