Nope, some of the mk3 hardcore may know it but the majority will not. Ill give you a few clues, it's a genuine mk3 golf item, and they only originate from Italy ...

Cheers guys...

Well I forgot how rewarding this working on cars malarkey is... So, got some more done tonight.

I fitted up the new top mounts to the front struts and gave them a quick clean, then I fitted up the front struts and jacked the wheel up until the drive shaft and track rod both touched the chassis leg... In my haste to smooth the bay I never notched the chassis leg, and it's too late to do now as I'm so far on now... So I was worried that I wouldn't get the car sitting where I wanted.

I also sanded down the rear struts and have them a lick of paint too.

So with the strut fitted and the hub jacked up and braced, I test fitted a wheel, now I'm more than happy with how this looks and it should go anothe 5mm as when I released the jack off the hub it sank about 5mm... Now it may not go this low on the struts, I don't know, I'll only find out once I've Plummed it all in and fired up the V2.

So yea, if that's where it sits ill be chuffed to bits!!!

And in other news my new splitter turned up... To save my self any question and pm's, the splitter is from an Italian, golf varient, more specifically, the Henri Lloyd yachting edition, these are genuinely rare items, and I've spent along time trying to get one, mainly since I saw a picture icy posted up of a silver/polished mk3 from worthersee a few years back, and I've wanted one ever since... It's nice to be unique :D

Unlike the popular gl splitter there is no cutting, screwing, modding or anything else that needs to be done, simply click, click and were done! Anyway, here's some pics :)

Anyway more to come soon, depending what I'm soon with work This weekend, if I get time I'm gonna go buy a new battery for the motor and then I'm gonna sort the boot install and get everything Plummed in and up and running, well Plummed in anyway, might wait till I have tyres before testing the air ride.

Anyway, cheers guys.
Jon
