Surprisingly, they came out quite well to be honest! Granted, a fly landed on one of the wings and they're are a bit dirtier than usual but nothing that flatting and polishing cant cure! As far as the wings them selves, I'm not overly pleased with the fit. I bought non genuine ones and they were a bit of a pain to get them to line up. I take it you bought a set of new wings for yours?

Well one wing I sourced second hand with minimal rust and fits perfect but the other, my drivers side one, is from Chung Fu Ching Enterprises and needed alot of prep work and its still not quite right. It will do for now but will source another genuine one and paint it up sometime in the future. Its the bit above the indicator where it meets the drivers door, its just not quite as flush as it needs to be but think i've done enough to keep your eye off it. Also the line on the bottom section of the wing, the swage line than runs the middle of the bottom half of the doors in more or less non exsistent on the non gen wing. I had a couple of flies too, jus got a wee bit of masking tape and pulled them out. This is the first time i have sprayed with 2k, last car I done was a good few years ago with cellulose and the difference is night and day in regards to the finish. Got a couple of runs but thats no big deal to sort.

Yeah, I'm going to get some genuine wings eventually, but these will do for now :) next bit of bodywork for me will be the drivers sill and a chasis notch! When I first started training cellulose was just being faded out and replaced by 2k so I have never had the 'pleasure' of spraying with the stuff, I have heard it reacts really easily though?

Yeah i'm not going to bother with the arch liners either. I'll have to take my wings off just to clean the bugger lol.

Better to leave them fitted if you can

Cheers Sean! To be honest, if you get a VR then it may well be in a similar state to yours anyways! I think you are better off having the work done and knowing its done right. Plus, your Corrado is an ideal model should you want to change the engine at a later date :)

Sooo, in a complete U turn, my time with this MK3 is coming to an end! I am both happy and sad, but its time to move on :) There will be a few updates to come of how she will end up, then she will be put up for sale and the new car introduced! Once that has all been done I will start a new thread for my new toy! Exciting times!! ;)
