I'n the end id like to have my car in another colour but its just so expensive. your lucky you know what your doing. i'v gone through 4 rattle cans and all the halfrauds around me have now ran out. so mighty pay the extra for them to make a can up for me.

Don't ever get paint from Hellfords...cause when your half way through a job and you have to wait for a delivery the next batch are always a shade different...eg Painting 3 wheels Ford Diamond white...the 4th came out cream!

Just got to a spray shop or if you can afford to do that use matt black

LOL so true man so true.

After putting up with my age old JVC head unit jumping on every bump on the road, randomly refusing to play CD's and generally being quite pants, I have decided to jump into the 21st century and get a new stereo :)

In the end, I went for a Sony CD/MP3 head unit with 4x52 Watt output, aux out, 3.5mm jack and USB port. Not bad for a little over £60 from Amazon :)

Well, today was productive :) Went up to Exeter to give a quote for some paintwork and booked the guy in to get it done! The I went and had a chat with the guys in GFS who pointed me in the direction of the cold start temperature sensor for being the route of my starting issue. I picked up one of those and a new O ring for just over a tenner and headed home :)

Got back and my new stereo had arrived as well! Bonus! So I set to, and half an hour later, sensor in and problem seems to be solved! The real test will be weather it starts alright tomorrow morning!

I fitted the stereo as well, got it all set up, and thanks to Sony's wiring harness, swapped a couple of wires round, and now the memory function (which I could never get to work on my old JVC unit) works a treat!

Happy days all round really :)

Yeah man, I have been reading about your troubles! You'll get it all sorted soon :)

I jumped in the car this morning to see if the temperature sensor had fixed the problem, I was actually really nervous turning the key lol! She started first time though, and no loss of power :) Problem solved!

Now I have to replace the same thing on my dads MK3 lol!

As a treat for the old gal, now that she's better, I decided I would fit some washers behind the rear stub axles to get a bit of negative camber so I can squeeze my 30mm adapters off the front onto the back, swap my 25mm adapters for some 35mm ones of a mate to push the fronts out a bit more, and play with the coilovers to get her sitting a bit better!

Literally just stepped out the door and its now pissing it down.

Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow and I'll get it sorted then :)

In more body related news, I have tracked down four straight doors to replace mine! once I have these, I will have everything I need to complete the bodywork for this year!
