Good luck with all that mate...gonna be a great motor, something to be proud of when your done!!!!
Website looks good...if only you lived closer to me...

Cheers mate, I hope so! It will be the most complete car I have ever owned LOL. After this it will be just little things for the rest of the year and gather info and parts for an engine conversion :)

Yeah :( I'm thinking of either a 1.8T or a 1.9TDI, I'll be sourcing parts for the running gear first as it will be the same set up for both engines :) I'm thinking GTI wishbones and front ARB, G60 discs, VR6 calipers, gti rear beam with ARB and G60 rear brakes. That way I can keep the Porsche adapters I already have and all of this can be done independent from the actual engine swap :)

Sounds like a plan, whats ARB?

Going the TDI route would be a mission wouldnt it? would you need to change fuel tank and all the fuel lines?

An ARB is an anti roll bar :) and fuel tank swap is no harder than anything else involved really, ideally I would like to have a tank in the spare wheel well and run the fuel lines inside the car. That way i can smooth the fuel filler flap on the quarter and properly rust treat the rear arches and underside :)

Got the rear light section welded in today, had a play with my new arch roller and rolled my arches on the new nearside wing and the nearside quarter panel :) also, on my way home I picked up 6 M10 washers! Can anyone guess why?................. My Damn phone ran out of battery so pics of progress tomorrow!
