Chuff just read this thread sorry to hear but in less than a month for you to experience these type of problems and you state it came from a trader how come he is not sorting it out?

Car must be fit for purpose and reliable for a reasonable length of time based on the purchase price.

If the dealer and I quote you is washig his hands of it. Then you really should consider taking action against him.

It annoys the hel out of me when people allow dealers to do this as gives good dealers a bad name as we are all tarred with the same brush.

If you want any help or advice on what to do next drop me a pm as over the years dealt directly with trading standards over a few issues so know how to approach the dealer to get best outcome.

I assume you have it in writting he refused to pay for a replacement dual mass fly wheel? This would not be considered to be fair wear and tear based on your purchase price

well got the bill thru yesterday for the repair work, :shocked:

 its good to do some unpaid overtime the week before a not so large invoice heads your way  :cool:
