Not sure about a temp fix, may aswell do a proper job our it will look sh!te.For that amount of money you could buy a cheap rotary, paint and all the other bits,DIY and keep the gear.Have a look in the detailing stickies for scratch/chip repair.
I'm sure you could get cheaper jobs done professionally if you look around dude! I my self would charge around £100-£150 to sort that out! If you dont want to pay out that kind of money, maybe just touch up the paint with a colour stick just to help protect it and hide it a bit?
