What sort of life does your Golf live?
« on: 28 August 2011, 00:39 »
My Golf stays garaged all year round, only coming out for shows, and fine evenings in the summer, mostly to keep the battery charged. The Golf will be SORN from October, and re taxed March/April time dependent on the weather. My car has covered less 1k in the last 12 months, but typically around 2k a year in the last 6 years, but I do drive it like it should be driven

My Mk3 8v does at least 150-200 miles a week commuting to work but it gets washed and cleaned every week, i drive it like you should but i make sure it's looked after and despite being 15 years old is still a nice drive.

As with all my cars my mk2 lives on the drive in the wind rain and snow it gets driven 10 miles a day to work so the 130k on the clock wont go up that much and gets a good clean wash and polish every 2 weeks the wifes mk4 is about the same but with 100k on the clock gets cleaned once a month if shes lucky and ferrys 2 kids about.

mine gets driven every day,

always gets serviced on time and needs for nothing

just wish i could drive it more(the wifey uses it as it`s the main car)

only downside is she gets it washed by the local £5 car wash :lipsrsealed:

now my passat wagon, does 40 miles a week, never washed or serviced, it gets parked up all week, but suprisingly it`s never let me down(and it`s getting treated for action )

My mk2 gets pampered much the same as yours Thom, as I've spent a lot of time and money getting it where I (nearly) want it.

The Mk4 gets abused by the wife and my little boy!

orange mk2 has sat in the garage and not moved for about 3 months  :undecided:

daily mk3 gets no love, but keeps chomping up the miles and refuses to die

I don't think a semi will give the same results
