Tips for removing heater vents on the dash.

Just got the car, switched interior heating on, and it squeaks. Gonna have to get the WD40 out, but any tips for removing the rather frail grilles..?

Heater vents just pop out, and are mounted where they pivot, just tweak them out by sliding a thin screwdriver down the side, and a bit of gentle leverage, taking care not to mark the rest of the dash, to refit, just push back in squarely..
Squeaking fan motor can be rectified with WD40, but will be short lived as the product dries out! and squeak returns..
Best way is to remove the motor and fan, so you get a better shot at getting some heavier oil, or light grease to the bearings, and testing the motor off the car, before refitting
