I have a dead handbrake on n/s...

Cables fine, quadrant mech on original caliper was stiff and rusty so thought it most likely caliper issue and bought a new caliper, fitted today but still no handbrake, quadrant moves by hand and with handbrake handle but its not doing anything which is same as one I took off  could be a faulty new caliper???  :nerd:

Here is caliper I bought: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140591100768

I recently stripped both my rear calipers, painted them, fitted new seals and refitted them.

Before i did all that they worked perfectly as did the handbrake. After refitting with new discs, pads and bearings the footbrake worked fine but the handbrake was very poor. After use thought it has adjusted itself and now works fine.

Have you tried pulling the handbrake on and off about 50 times so it adjusts itself ?.
