Are these the Asymmetric or Asymmetrics 2's? My local fitter doesnt have the 2's in stock.

Jim

Mine are the Aysmmetrics, the earlier ones.

Tyre noise was driving me nuts on our Pacific with Cotintis on it.  Had a set of Toyo TEO Plus fitted.

Change was wonderful, turned it in to a quiet car.  They were only a cheap tyre, but felt secure to me.
Our GTD has Bridgestones on it, which are are noisy buggers too.

We have coarse aggregate on our roads here, far removed from German autohbarns so noise can be pretty quite an issue.

Let's play devil's advocate.

The Continental SportContact 5 MO 225/40 R18 92Y is available now for £113.21 from Tyre Traders.
MO means Mercedes approved. It is the same as the non MO version and is approx £11 cheaper than that one.

Non MO version:

The Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2 in 225/40 R18 92Y is available from Tyre Traders for £114.50 .

From my various contacts in the tyre industry, the Continental is the better tyre overall and is quieter than the Goodyear.
