2.0 8v 2e Engine issues...........................

WEIRD STUFF on my 8v 2e!!!!!

I know ,and I have looked through the search box but cant find anything that matches THIS problem before someone suggests it!
This problem has been doing this for on/off couple of years,now just does it all the bloody time,so I have to use the sweedish tank as the daily/everything :(
doesnt fire up that easy tho turns over.
when it does start its fine for about 5-10 secs then dies.
oil  light flashes.
rev counter goes right up and down,even when not running!!
changed oil pressure switch(most common)
changed crank sensor(common)
tried swapping over airbox and module....
all to no avail ....
80 thou on clock ...full hist.
now Im thinkin prob with immobilizer? as when battery is disconnected,you can here a faint beep beep beep?
when it is running its fine,smooth, revs pickup fine.
ERMMMM ....HELP!!! :cry:
I do have a vr6 lump to put in along with all the gubbins,but wanted this one all running fine when I took it out,hopefully to get good money for it!!!! :rolleyes:
anyone close to me near the pl15 postcode with a reader in exchange for as much tea and bacon sandwiches as they can eat!!!!! ? :wink:

I've got an ebay code reader but I'm not around until Monday/Tuesday. Will be happy to help though, and do have a little experience with the 8v lump (although AGG) May be able to swap a few things as well to try and diagnose the cause if you can wait until early next week mate.

swapped over no. 30 relay for another used 1.....nout

A long shot perhaps, but have you checked condition of cam sensor (if the 2E has one) and the injector wiring loom?  Mine was cracked in places, and a repair of the ends has done wonders.

Worth checking condition and continuity of electrical grounds too.

Try starting it with the O2 unplugged, MAF unplugged, coolant temp sensorm, and CAM sensor unplugged (if fitted).  Interested to see what happens.

Edit - Also - do you have a small electrical socket/connector in the back of your glovebox?
