You can get the new / replacement clocks set to the same mileage.

Yeah both the square and rectangular ones are EPROMs (electronic programmable memory). The can loose functionality after time and dump memory due to. Corruptions through voltage/signal/current etc. Only thing is you will need to find out which one controls what etc; as you could well dump your milage by removing them. Better to get a new set and get your current milage duplicated by a qualified technician mate

Speak to Brad Kells, he knows someone local to him that does it, but you maybe able to get it done local to you. Not sure what they would call themselves tbh, and not sure if the dealer does it. Apparently it's not illegal if its done properly and I suppose they have to register it.

vr6 is 6 cylinder car gti is 4

clocks will be wrong in rv6 from a gti

cerr means milage error in the ecu and the clocks

get it on vagcom and reset the clocks to the ecu milage

vr6 clocks didnt show it and the rev needle didnt go all the way round when i plugged them in 8v gti  :undecided: it has fall vw history and the millage goes up. How do you know cerr means mileage error?

vr6 clocks are programed to work on vr6 cars
6 cylinders and that

your rpm will be wrong

think there is a setting on vagcom that can make the clocks reset to the ecu milage
