I came up against confrontation all of the time. I was lucky to have a good team around me so we all looked out for each other. When I fought the 4 lads it was because I too couldn't stand by and let something go on, that something was them 4 lads "taxing" another lad for his ipod so I put a stop to it, the lad with the ipod ran away and I took the heat so to speak. But my point here was that Adam wanting to help said he felt like going over and smashing faces...... My point was, I would think 10-15 lads would probably win, and when I say win, I mean badly beat you to a bloody mess.
Thats all my point was.... Im not saying anything about going over or standing by and letting it happen, I just pointed out that 10-15 lads would be too much to deal with.

I remember how I was at that age and I fought with grown men quite a few times, at that age you feel indestructable and even more so when there's a gang of you so a guy coming over and confronting you would just be a easy beating. Im not saying thats right Im just saying thats how it is and there's been countless stories in the news over the years backing that thoery up.

At the end of the day these lads where being a hassle, they stole a worthless flask and they assaulted the lady by throwing her out of the way to escape. All that there is wrong, we all can agree on that.

Now after all that going on, the lady Im guessing is maybe alittle shaken up and a flask is missing but if Adam had went over now that could have made a total different outcome ie Adam being seriously hurt. The lady would feel even worse that a innocent man is injured. I salute Adam for wanting to help and in my eyes he is gentleman but I still say 10-15 lads would be too much to handle, and this myth of beat the biggest and the rest will run well we never did. And working as a doorman I put that theory to the test countless times only for it to fail.

For me this has ALWAYS worked.  Even down to when I was 17 and in college when a group of 8/9 lads who at the time was 23-25 came up to beat on my brother.  Just so happened I was there to break the cocky pricks nose, yeh i got a beating but for every time they hit me I gave it back 5 times harder to the lad who thought he was the toughest until he was screaming at his mates to stop.
