So I dont know if you guys know about this, but it is kind of sad that Apple has been suing HTC ans Samsung left right and center for patents. Kinda sad seeing they are realising they are losing out to some countries because of these phones. What makes it worse is that Apple claims that they came up with anything thing (KATE MOSS? Really?) and the square phone, really who do this company think they are.

Get worse Galaxy S and Galaxy S 2 has been banned in some countries because they use something that Apple OS 4 uses. Kinda weird when Apple was bragging about how they are using some android functions on their new OS 5.

I was looking forward to the iPhone 5, but now Apple left a sour taste in my mouth and they are gong to cost too much too, only line I am going to stand in is for a White SGS2

Didn't they sue samsung or someone then got found guilty of changing the aspect ratio on a picture to make it look more like their Ipad and thus the case got thrown out or whoever it was is counter sueing.

Samsung and Apple counter sued each other.  Which is funny seeing as Apple buy all their screens from Samsung, and Apple is Samsungs biggest customer

Who cares, they will just bring out another phone with the bit they are not allowed removed. Samsung have loads of phones out, they bring a new one out every few months.

Its not like they copied them though

Apple are reducing themselves to the level of a patent troll at the moment.

Last time I checked the best way of out-competing the competition was to release great and innovative products, instead of trying to claim that anyone making something kinda like something you make is copying you.

Apple has ALWAYS been litigious, they're just getting worse now.

There was a load of whining from Google recently about the sale of Novell's patents - bought by Apple and Microsoft (no, seriously).  Apparently Google was invited to be part of the purchase, but declined.  It's all a load of bloody nonsense.  These manufacturers are only paying serious money for these patents to stop actual patent trolls buying them and then figuring out who they can sue on the basis that they own the patent that someone else secured for something totally different.

The problem with intellectual property is you have to defend it and be seen to defend it otherwise you may lose your rights to do so in the future.

I tried moving away from Apple when my old 3G "broke".  The Samsung Galaxy S I got instead was sh1te though, and the Blackberry's were all gash, so it was an iPhone 4 in the end.  Can't complain too much, nothing comes close to it overall.
