60%?? Sod that!!

Contact them again and point out that the GARAGE is at fault, not you and that you want 100% of the compensation.  Otherwise explain that you will get Trading Standards involved which i'm sure the garage and VW will be delighted at

You should not pay for their cockup!!

Euro Canterbury are an arse.  My other half got a brand new car from there,  they did a recall and they had the rudeness to charge her for the courtesy car.

I went in there going bonkers they gave the money back.   Just be plane rude when ur in there,  they soon get the hint lol

Also quick question but has anyone else ever got their car back from the garage and thought it looked like a 4 year old cleaned it and missed most of the dirt?

Yes, used to happen all the time until I complained about it.  On service paperwork it would list that car had been hoovered and washed but it was still filfthy.  Add that to your grievance list when you speak to VW!

Right not happy,

Just had a long chat with the VW customer services girl, who was not helpful at all. The previous case manager who was helpful has now left!

VW say that the work undertaken is at the owners risk and for that reason I should be expected to pay for replacement calipers....

They stated that the car was out of warrenty and a guesture of 60% has been made - end of story.

Er help..?

Get back on to VW UK and ask for your complaint to be escalated.

You don't take one of their own cars to their own service station and expect them to do something as stupid as that and then say, "sorry guv, that's your problem"

Get on to trading standards as well, see if you can get a case number and then ring VW UK back quoting it.

Right been speaking with my missus on this (she works for Trading Standards)

Whilst its not unreasonable for VW to ask you to contribute towards the cost of the PARTS (not labour) the amount you have been asked to pay is totally unreasonable.

Reason is for what she has said is that you have brand new replacement parts.  If they had replaced them with used parts then asking you to pay any amount is totally unacceptable.

However, Linzi has said that you should push the garage / VW for 100% compensation as at the end of the day the garage has cocked up the repair on something they do day in, day out.  Also make sure that you have only paid towards the PARTS COST, you should NOT pay anything towards labour to rectify the problem

Keep hassling them :afro:
