Can anyone help me !!!
Basically I have purchased a replacement outer CV Joint from J&RCVJoints. It is too big but the guy that works there says he is sure it's right size and that my car must at some point had the shaft replaced with another non standard one and that's why it doesn't fit.
My car is a Mk3 Gti 8V AGG Anniversary Edition (P reg). ABS and PAS.
I measured the diameter of my shaft where the splines are and it measured 24mm. The replacement joint was about 27mm.
The reason I am desperate is I have ordered a replacement CV from a more reputable dealer (VWSpares) and am worried that that will now be too big also.
Does anyone know if the Gti ones are meant to be 24mm?
