New indicators

The bulbs supplied with the headlights look like LED's but they are clear so cant use them as indicators.
I bought some orange bulbs from Halfords

The indicator wires were connected to the main headlight plug socket, so I cut them off that and wired them to the cars indicator wiring.

My guess would be the same as SeanL that the resistance is incorrect

the standard indicator wires, i cut them one at a time, then put connectors on, i didn't check what feed to the light was live or earth as they would still light up,

i tried to upload a video to youtube but it was failing, so now sending it to facebook, will link it soon

OK I will undo the 4 bolts holding the headlight and take some pics then!

So do LED's have a higher resistance? (or lower)

im sure its lower as some LED's require resistors installed

Yes LED bulbs give a lower resistance fooling the car inti thinking you have a bulb gone and making your indicators flash rapid.

I've got a couple of Orange indicators to come off the car soon

I've got the original orange indicators!

Need to paint these new LED bulbs by the look of things.
