probably paranoia
« on: 21 August 2011, 00:28 »
My car started the usual 2000mile 'service due' countdown and was going to get it done next weekend.
Today i left my house and it says service due 700mls, drive maybe ten miles stop the car then started it again and it now says 'service now'.
Was wondering if this was known to happen? doesn't really matter as ill just get it serviced this week now as was the plan, but i've checked the oil and coolant just in case although i check it every week and no problems there.

52' plate PD100
cheers in advance

sounds like a dodgy countdown to me... just stick to regular service intervals and you'll be fine.

to reset yourself;

•Turn on ignition.
•Hold down Right trip button and continue to do so whilst turning off ignition.
•Still with Right trip button held down turn ignition back on.
•Release Right trip button.
•With ignition still on turn Left trip button to the Right and release.
•Turn off ignition.

wierdly none of the usual ways of resetting the display are working, and it doesnt reset the trip for me either which is annoying. cheers for the reply though
