What is the service interval for the DSG gearbox, I have heard its 40,000miles, but how many years?

I am wondering this as well. My next service will be the 4th year service and wasn't sure if I need to get the DSG serviced. The millage won't be more then 31k.

does the normal 40,000 miles service include the DSG oil change? Or would I expect to pay for the DSG oil change separately?

if it were me (if my car ever gets to 40k) id have the dealer do it for £150, as DSGs are tricky (oil change prob easy) and if it goes wrong, least you have some comeback!

If you have the correct vw specific tools and vcds then it's doable but IMO you should let a garage who's do it before do it.

It's used to correctly measure the DSG oil temperature when refilling the unit.
