« on: 19 August 2011, 13:59 »
Possible or not?
I know a local yard have a White one that is sat there, needs a fair few bits but ya reckon they will swap for my golf that I'm breaking?
Or once they are scrapped is that where they have to stay?
Cheers peeps!

Errr, what you're proposing is known as 'ringing'

Or once they are scrapped is that where they have to stay?

This.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

See my other reply.

Actually it is saveable but you need new logbooks and checks etc and at the end of it it's really not worth it.

A car is only declaired as scrap if the V5 has been handed in, if the V5 is there and and its not been declaired its all yours, a lad i know recently bought a B5 passat estate from the scrap yard near us, think he paid £125 no tax no MOT car was mint apart from needing some suspension attention it had only covered 130000miles, proper bargain
