Cheers FG, nowhere down here does any detailing equipment that I know of, except halfrauds so I will have to get it online anyway. Will have a look about for the consumables after I get it.

I live in Plymouth mate, I got mine from the Tool Shed at the bottom of town, they also do all the pads/sponges etc for them.

I think its shut down now though hasn't it? I used to go there occasionally for cheap tools I only realy needed very very occasionally, but last time I went there, it looked like it had shut down.

Edit: went in there today (not closed down then!) but they didn't have any. Had a look in their catalogue and only have makita ones etc circa 350 notes.

Mine wanted to fly off in all directions and was hard to control....maybe I'm just rubbish with tools. Yep, that'll be it!

I think being budget ones, they are quite heavy so a little trickier to control. That and the size of the pad and possibly products used may contribute to overall controlability. Had a look on detailing world and trawled through the guide, and I think thats what they said if it bounces. (there is a name for it, but it took me about an hour to read the whole thing and I was having a bit of a brain fart by the end)

I bought myself a Silverline rotary about 7 years ago. Still going strong, great bit of kit. Has done a lot of hard work over the years!

Cheers looks good. I think I'll get it from waxamomo though as I'm not sure on those generic kits. At least with waxamomo I can give him my budget, and a little info on car colour and the state of the paintwork, and he can advise me on best product to use within budget and thats likely to get it to a reasonable standard.
