K&N induction kit 57i
« on: 18 August 2011, 10:38 »
Hey all

I have just got a 57i induction kit and when i fitted it yesterday on my mk3 golf the wires that plug into the metal tubing (connnecting the original airbox to the pipe that meets the carb) have no where to go so does anyone know what im meant to do with them i need to know asap because i want to get it back on the road today.

There is an empty hole in the back of the cone so im thinking i have to take the sensor out of the metal casing and fit it to the K&N cone.

Please Help

Many Thanks

Craig

Nope you need to run the complete maf sensor (metal tube) as it will run crap without it.

Induction kit is a waste of time btw.

There is a sensor that goes into the back of the cone filter but not what you are describing!

the cone bolts onto the pipe which house the maf sensor as well doesnt it? so no need to disconnect the maf at all?  :undecided:

No need to fit the K&N either.
