Daily Telegraph"A lack of advance screenings for critics led to rumours that The Inbetweeners film was a bit of a turkey. Fear not. It's hilarious.
Basically a feature-length episode of the E4 series (well, it worked for Sex and the City), the movie follows our four hapless heroes as they head off on a lads' holiday to Malia in search of sun, sea and clunge.
As with the TV show, the gags will have you simultaneously cringeing and howling with laughter. Woeful chat-up lines? Drunken disasters? Inappropriate sexual activity with a pensioner? It's all here. If you're of a sensitive disposition, this film is definitely not for you. But beneath the crudity is a coming-of-age story that's strangely heartwarming.
Meanwhile, James Buckley, who plays Jay, said he believes the new Inbetweeners film is "sweeter" than the television series.
The E4 comedy, which is a crude and earthy account of four suburban sex-obsessed teenage boys, had its red carpet premiere at the Vue Cinema in Leicester Square last night."
