know youse were all taking the mik and that but its only going to be so long before someone does comment saying that car washes are the work of the devil ect ect ect

and i know that some people do one wash clay ect and take a good few hours cleaning there car then for a month or two just spend 20 mins rinsing it down, but i also know some people spend 5 hours every weekend cleaning there car and polishing and waxing and generally getting all ocd with it then when someone mensions a car wash or something like that they get all arsey

wasnt really a rant at any of youse guys (sort of sounded like it was now ive read it back) just generally a rant at what people normally say about carwashes, we all know there not the best thing for our cars, equally take-aways arent the best thing for our bodies but we still have them

must... resist... commenting!!!  :lipsrsealed:

Once you have spent a day cleaning it it takes about 15 minutes to clean the car, maybe less.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think you have any children.

My car gets washed about three or four times a year.  It takes about 30 minutes each time.  That's pretty much enough for me.

Doesn't matter what I do to it now anyway, I have f*cking great streaks down one side since Mrs Hell drove it down a hedge, whilst avoiding some pillock in a Land Rover (allegedly).  I'll bet Guy wouldn't be able to get those f*ckers out.

I think the last time I put a car through a car wash it was a company car.

Car washing's a waste of time for me anyway (sorry Guy).  It gets dirty immediately I drive home, as we're on an unmade road.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

tbh i cant see why people dont look after cars, its a fairly large sum of money and you're just not looking after it, it'll be worth less.

yeah you might be rich enough to loose the money and not care. Doesn't mean you're not stupid for doing so.

Fair enough if its a beater or live in the countryside (shouldn't you have a rr?) Bet guy could make them look a bit better though

that said cleaned my bro's 206 up so he could sell it, not been done for years  had hardly any swirls once the dirt came off  but all the stains, spidering, faded bits etc let the car down, well and the skanky green colour.

that said its been like nearly 2 weeks since mine had a bath, i'm starting to dream about the paint falling off  :lipsrsealed:

another can of worms opend i see, not everyone has time/pachents to spend hours cleaning there car, also not everyone has a car which has perfect paint work.

i know i occasionally use car washes because my car hasent got the best paint work and before me put up with almost 10 years of going through car washes, im sure im not the only one of the forum like that, if you have a car with perfect paint work and want to spend hours cleaning it then you do that, meanwhile i will be out living my life.

i know a few people will take advantage of this offer then go down the pub with there mates or go out with there family or just generally have a life, if you want to spend the day cleaning your car, feel free to, but when someone posts something like this up for people to take advantage of dont sit around slating them.
